The WSU Ski Team originally was a varsity sport here at Washington State. However, it has since been changed to a club sport that is funded by the University and fundraising, as opposed to solely through the University.
The Ski Team used to practice and run a small ski resort with the University of Idaho at Moscow Mountain. The ski area is now defunct and the team practices at Silver Mountain.
There are many Ski Team alumni residing in here in Washington and many other places that continue to support the WSU Ski Team and Cougar experience.
